The D-backs, who played their fourth game without injured Ketel Marte, have won two in a row. Cincinnati took its sixth loss in eight games.
Cincinnati’s TJ Friedl broke an 0-for-30 skid with a fifth-inning single and was later hit by a pitch. He entered in the first inning after left fielder Michael Toglia dislocated his right shoulder making a diving catch on Perdomo’s liner.
Cincinnati left-hander Nick Lodolo (3-2) gave up 10 hits and six runs in 3 1/3 innings. He issued two walks and fanned two.
The D-backs scored in each of the first four innings, and they stole four bases in the first two innings off Lodolo, with three of those runners scoring.
Carroll walked, stole second and came home on Moreno’s single in the first.
Tawa singled, stole second and came around on Lawlar’s second homer of the season in the D-backs’ three-run second. Jose Fernandez singled, stole second, took third on a wild pitch and scored on Ildemaro Vargas’ sacrifice fly for a 4-0 lead.
Lawlar singled with two outs and scored on Ryan Waldschmidt’s double in the third. Carroll doubled and came across on Moreno’s single that knocked out Lodolo in the fourth.
Lawlar singled in a run in the seventh, and Nolan Arenado and Tawa capped the scoring with RBI hits in the eighth.
