Scottie Scheffler has a familiar face alongside at the Tour Championship this week at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.
Ted Scott will return to serve as the caddie to Scheffler after departing for Louisiana following the third round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis nearly two weeks ago while tending to a family matter.
Fill-in caddie and PGA Tour chaplain Brad Payne stepped in to replace Scott for that round, and Michael Cromie served as Scheffler’s caddie at the BMW Championship last week.
Scheffler didn’t miss a beat with Cromie on the bag, as the world’s top-ranked golfer recorded his fifth victory of the season, a two-stroke win at Owings Mills, Md.
Scott has caddied for 17 of Scheffler’s 18 PGA Tour titles, including all four majors.
Scheffler, 29, will look to become the first golfer to win the FedEx Cup in consecutive years this weekend.
Scheffler and Rory McIlroy make up the final pair off the tee in the first round of the Tour Championship. They are scheduled to begin their opening round at 2 p.m. ET.
